In my wildest dreams I could not have wished for this. If I had to design the PERFECT mall, this would be it! Those who know me, know I like a good deal. Just came back from Metro Pointe at South Coast. Yes, right across the street from the ultra exclusive, beautiful but expensive South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, is Metro Pointe, the discounter mall with the mostest. Since Metro Pointe retailers are so close to one of the best malls in the country, they really try hard to attract and please. So far there is already a well-stocked Nordstrom Rack, a DSW Shoe Warehouse (heaven, if you ask me!) and the best Marshall's in Southern California where I recently bought a designer purse for $130. The same one cost $350 across the street! Now comes the very good news! Linens and Things went out of business. Their store space has been empty for some time. I just swung by Nordstrom Rack for a high end inexpensive pashmina and what do I see??? LOEHMANN'S!!!!!!!!!!!! Opening Spring 2010. Metro Pointe will be heaven! Besides all my beloved discounters in one mall, Metro Pointe also features a multiplex, restaurants and cafes and much more. 20 minutes from either Disneyland or the beach! Shoppers' Paradise, here we come!
